Combat System

The deeper you dig into the mines, the more likely you are to encounter hostile creatures. Understanding the combat system is essential to protect your dwarves and your colony. This guide explains the combat mechanics, the types of creatures you will encounter, and strategies to defeat them effectively.

Basic Combat Mechanics

Combat in Dwarf Mine Colony is based on a turn system and uses the action points (AP) of dwarves:

  1. Movement: Move your dwarf next to the creature you want to attack (costs 1 AP per tile).
  2. Attack: Click on the creature to attack it automatically (costs 1 AP per attack).
  3. Damage: Each attack deals 1 point of damage to the creature (can be improved with experience).
  4. Counter-attack: If the creature survives, it will counter-attack and deal damage to your dwarf.

Hit Points (HP)

Each dwarf starts with 1 hit point (HP). HPs can be increased up to a maximum of 10 with experience. When a dwarf is injured, it automatically recovers hit points at a rate of 1 HP every 5 minutes (can be improved with a Hospital).

A dwarf whose HP falls to zero is considered seriously injured and can no longer fight or dig until it recovers at least 1 HP.
